TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Check-6, Inc. is announcing the acquisition of Industrial3D, one of the world’s most well-respected computer-generated industrial animators. The announcement was made June 10th at the Check-6 Board Meeting in Ft. Worth, Texas.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to announce that I3D is joining the Check-6 family,” said Yarko “JJ” Sos, Chief Executive Officer. “Beau Brown and his staff bring an incredible wealth of creativity and focus to their work. His experience and engineering insights bring to light what drillers and operators cannot see underground, and that has been invaluable, even life-saving to the industry.”

Beau Brown, President of Industrial3D, began creating computer animation in 1995 in his spare time while working in the oil and gas industry. His service in the Marine Corps paid off in persistence and resourcefulness, as he began to learn a technology that few people knew existed. When a member of management saw one of Beau’s 3D animations of a Pressure Relief Valve, he began creating more complex animations for the industry, and his hobby became his full-time job. In 2002 Brown created Industrial3D, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A few years later his 3D animations aided CNN in worldwide coverage of the BP Macondo disaster that was taking place a mile beneath the ocean’s surface in the Gulf of Mexico.

Industrial3D’s satisfied clients include CNN, as well as National Geographic, Schlumberger, GE, Helmerich & Payne, Pioneer Drilling, and Transocean.

“We are thrilled to be taking this new step with Check-6,” said Beau Brown, President of Industrial3D. “We have been working with the simulator wing of Check-6 for the past few years. We help Check-6 Training Systems graphically portray potential on-the-job hazards for their clients, so rig personnel can use these tools on their own computers for continuous and effective training. With Check-6’s focus on leadership, training, and safety, and our ability to help their clients ‘see’ the potential hazards, it is a perfect combination. We look forward with great anticipation to our future with Check-6.”
